The limitations of code effectiveness when workers are not aware of codes and the rights enshrined within them, are increasingly emphasised by Southern worker organisations, NGO’s , unions and companies involved with code implementation on the ground.
Many of ETI’s corporate members who acknowledge the need for worker participation and awareness, are seeking to access trade union and NGO expertise on this issue.
This roundtable therefore aims to bring together practical experiences from our NGO and T.U as well as corporate members, on improving awareness and participation of workers in code implementation.
To increase members’ understanding of different approaches to worker participation and awareness raising, including practical examples.
