The ETI code of labour practice: do workers really benefit? Findings and recommendations from a case study in Costa Rica (bananas) reports on the findings of one of five in-depth case studies carried out as part of the ETI Impact Assessment study, which was conducted by the Institute of Development Studies (University of Sussex) 2006. The report includes:
- Relevant background information on the Costa Rica banana sector
- An account of how a multinational food company has been implementing its code of practice, and the impact this is having for workers on its farms in Costa Rica
- A description of key labour problems found against each of the 9 Base Code principles on these farms.
