1. Clean Clothes Campaign (CCC) report on rights violations in Turkey and Eastern Europe (Nov 2005, 51 pages)

Full report title: Workers’ Voices: The situation of women in the Eastern European and Turkish garment industries.

This report by the CCC and the Evangelische Akademie Meissen, features profiles of six countries and valuable insight into key issues for garment workers’ rights in the region. In addition to the information on the garment industry regionally and in relation to the European Union trade regime, details on the industry and working conditions faced by workers in Bulgaria, Macedonia, Poland, Serbia, Turkey, Romania and Moldova is presented. The report draws upon interviews with 256 workers from 55 workplaces. A list of brand and retailers sourcing from the region is included.
