Ethical procurement for health: new guidelines

Ethical procurement for health

New guidelines on ethical procurement for health, from ETI and the British Medical Association (BMA)

The Ethical procurement for health: workbook helps procurers in the health and social care sector include consideration of labour standards throughout the procurement and market engagement processes. It aims to build awareness and understanding of labour standards in supply chains among procurers, so that labour standards concerns can be identified early and addressed proactively and constructively.

The workbook and material provides a model, the flexible framework, against which organisations can benchmark their practices and identify actions that will make these practices more effective in driving improvement and mitigating risks. It provides guidance, templates, tools and case examples to support the development of robust management processes to address labour standards.
