Workshop 2: Managing an ethical trade programme
Tools and mechanisms for implementation
The second workshop introduces and explores the different tools and mechanisms that can be used to set up and manage an ethical trade programme, including:
- Risk-based approaches to identifying and managing ethical trade activities in the supply chain
- Audit processes and how to get the best from them
- Partnership working and its role in implementing ethical trade programmes
The workshop builds on the core principles set out in Workshop 1 and provides participants with an understanding of the tools and mechanisms needed to develop and implement their ethical trade programmes. It covers essential information for those with limited direct experience of ethical trade or in organisations starting out on the journey to improve workers' lives, as well as for people already involved in implementation of codes of practice.
Participants will need to be familiar with the key concepts in ethical trade, including the ETI Base Code and supply chain mapping, and it is strongly recommended that participants attend Workshop 1 before taking part in Workshop 2.

"I wouldn't have known where to start without the training from ETI. The structure has been really good and all the trainers are incredibly enthusiastic and really know about their subjects."
