The first in a series of four courses outlining the essentials of ethical trading, this content provides a practical understanding of the main issues, ideas and advantages, and explains how to build them into your organisation’s ethical trade strategy.
Defining ethical trade
Our training partners will take you through the ETI Base Code and how to use it, as well as looking at different supply chain structures and the responsibilities of supporting workers’ rights.
Our trainers are experts in developing and implementing codes of labour practice in global supply chains and will help you with mapping your supply chain, learning how to implement ethical trade and communicating the advantages to different audiences.
Who is this course for?
The ‘Introduction to ethical trade’ course is particularly suitable if you are:
- an ethical trade manager, buyer or HR representative with responsibility for CSR and ethical trade
- a human rights or ethical trade professional, consultant or auditor
- a trade union representative engaging with voluntary corporate initiatives and or/multinationals
- part of an NGO promoting ethical trade.
