Elaine Jones, much missed champion of workers' rights

  • Peter McAllister
  • 30 March 2022

We are very sad to note that Elaine Jones passed away on 20 March 2022 after hospitalisation. Elaine has been a champion of ethical trade for many years starting her journey in the UK at The Body Shop in 1995 and then continuing her pioneering work in fair and ethical trade. Through her work within businesses, as a consultant and as a trainer, Elaine not only positively impacted the lives of many workers, but also inspired many in ethical trade to replicate her own commitment and passion for a world that respects workers’ rights. Elaine, a champion of workers’ rights will be widely missed. ETI offers its condolences to family, friends and colleagues at this time.
