Anti-Slavery International is urging all brands to pledge not to knowingly source cotton from Turkmenistan due to the systemic use of forced and child labour.

The Modern Slavery Act is forcing businesses to discuss slavery openly to an extent that has not occurred since the days of the 19th century abolitionists.

Fifty seven companies, human rights NGOs, industry associations, investors and trade unions call on the Government of Turkmenistan to end human rights abuses.
