Join us on 28 September at Labour Conference for “Responsible Business Day.” ETI and partners will host two events bringing together business, unions and civil society to discuss why stronger laws on human rights and the environment are vital for people, planet and fair competition.
Our consulted position calls for strong, enforceable human rights and environmental due diligence (mHREDD) legislation in the UK. Grounded in international standards and developed through dialogue with trade unions, NGOs, and company members and partners, the position sets out ten principles to ensure regulation is effective, fair, and capable of driving meaningful change across global supply chains.
The ongoing attacks on Gaza and restrictions of aid by Israel are utterly devastating. We will continue to support our members to understand this issue.
Module Three of ETI’s Human Rights Essentials Course explores how buyer behaviour and commercial decisions can either support or undermine human rights – and what companies can do about it.
ETI encourages companies to reflect carefully on the impact of any policy decisions and to engage with workers, trade unions and trans rights experts for their support.
