ETI Base Code working hours clause – revised wording due 2014

During the past year, we have worked with members and stakeholders to revise the ETI Base Code working hours clause wording. We did this in order to provide greater clarity, resolve issues around interpretation and help with practical implementation.

The revised wording will be formally launched in March 2014, along with guidance materials. Please check our website at that time, as all documents will be published here.

Companies using the ETI Base Code are not expected to begin implementing the revised wording until September 2014. If you are a company or auditor that uses the ETI Base Code, please continue to use the current wording until then.

We are also working closely with ethical trade stakeholders to ensure that changes are reflected in their training and auditing materials and practice.
