Shining a light on human and labour rights in green transitions

Presentations and notes from a workshop co-hosted by ETI, IIED and Banana Link at SOAS, University of London (24 June 2025).

Workshop notes - Just transitions in food, farming and fisheries

The aims of the workshop were to:

  • Share knowledge and insights on the potential human and labour rights implications of green transitions in food, farming and fisheries.
  • Catalyse engagement on just transitions in food systems by bridging the gap between environmental sustainability, human rights and labour rights.
  • Contribute to shaping an international research and action agenda on just transitions in food, farming and fisheries.

Please do reach out if you would like to discuss further work in this area: eti@eti.org.uk
