Many workers around the world are being exploited in the workplace because they are vulnerable for different reasons and in different ways. ETI's Access to remedy principles are applicable to any workers, but they are aimed specifically at the case of migrant workers, who, due to very particular vulnerabilities, need additional protection and support from their worker representatives, employers, businesses and governments.
Through this module, we encourage retail businesses and supplier businesses to learn about the Access to Remedy Principles in more detail and why they are important. We encourage all interested stakeholders to support them.
- To make the Access to Remedy Principles accessible and more illustrative for businesses, whether they are brands, retailers or suppliers
- To provide practical guidance/steps to these businesses on the implementation of the Access to Remedy Principles and Operational Grievance Mechanisms for (migrant) workers
- To inspire businesses through sharing case studies of how the Principles were applied in practice by other businesses
The module will take approximately 90 minutes to complete. For uninterrupted learning experience and opportunity to pause and reflect, we recommend you set aside the full 90 minutes. Closing the browser window will reset the module to the beginning but accessing the module is unlimited.
